Hello guys!
Some Norway tips what I felt important during our trip.
- Summer time (May to September) might be best time to travel.
- Or if you like skiing and snowboarding then Holmenkollen must be wonderful winter holiday place to you.
- Holmenkollen, Edvard Munch museum, reptail park, HopOn HopOff boat are my favourite places to visit.
- Buy Oslo pass! With it you get free entry to many museum, park,... and you can use buses and metro in the city area without other tickets and as much as you need. Public transports are very good way to see this awesone beautiful city, and the whole country as well I guess.
- If you have a lot extra money then go to the central and go for a shopping. In Oslo is lot of nice shops but prices are higher than in Finland at least.
- If you don't have a lot extra money then don't expect a lot about your meals. And remember that in Oslo it's quite difficult to find a restaurant that serves local food with ok price. City is so international that there is a lot different restaurants but most of restaurants are quite expencive so kebab places are easiest and cheapest choices. Depending your budget for example Hard Rock Cafe is nice place to visit as a restaurant and it's about as expencive as most of restaurants. Truth is that only place I found gluten-free vegetable food was a kebab place.
- Oslo pass is really good but if it's not enough then one tip is that you check where HopOn - HopOff buses stop. Bus stops must be most famous places where you can go by bus or how ever you want.
- Umbrella! If you travel out of season you really really will need this!
Hope my tips can help you if you are planning to travel to Oslo. And you are always welcome to ask more if I didn't tell something to you. Have you guys ever been in Oslo or any other part of Norway?
Veera
