Hi guys, still greetings from bed...
Today I had my first entrance exam. To Jyväskylä university to study sport. But the test was at Turku (, Oulu, Joensuu, Jyväskylä or Espoo).
I don't have so much expectations about this test or studying in university. Material I read was difficult, I had it a lot and I think it was some how stupid. I mean where sport and health education teacher will need those things?! I asked mum how many time she has needed to know that right lung has three parts and left has two parts when she is teaching somersaults. Answer: zero times. Surprise...
Second reason is that I'm not sure if I even wanna be teacher. I like sports and I like to teach and that's why I thought that I wanna be sport teacher in fact a few years ago already. But I only like to teach if "students" wanna learn. I have been at school as a teacher a couple times now and I. Don't. Like to force students to do sport or like it.
I think this entrance exam was a really good experience because now I know what it means, how much and what kind of things I should study before next test. And I learned some interesting things while studying all those pages. I think the test wasn't impossible. They asked little little things but if you really wanna go to the school, study hard, do your best and you can do it!
So I have a full expectation that I'm not going to Jyväskylä following autumn but hopefully some other school!
Have you already had entrance exams?
