Sunday 26.4.2015 Croatia tips and abouts

- Take camera with you! This country I really so so beautiful that you wanna take a lot pics.

- They smoke pretty much. Especially in center they smoke everywhere

- Lot of dogs. And most run free at streets but always with owners. Dogs are very loyal and aren't interested in tourists, food, other dogs,... 

- This time of year is very good time for tourists. Most of places you wanna visit are already open but it's not tourist season yet so you can visit places calm. It's already nice weather but not too hot if you ate from north.

- This time of year you should take light clothes. If forecast says around +20 degrees you need shorts and t-shirts, many of them. In the evening it will be colder, 10 to 15 degrees so light jacket would be nice too. There might be a little bit rain but not so much or hard than we have at home.

- If possible walk, walk and walk! Especially parks and streets. Take good shoes, trainees if you ask me and you can see awesome places. Paths and roads to the top of the Marjan park is that long and steep that you can't (or at least I can't!) ride a bike. And it wasn't possible to take a car. But it really is worth of walking. And it's not too bad I think.

- Locals don't use bikes a lot so I think tourist shouldn't also. And renting car or motorbike sounds pretty crazy as well.

- Be careful when crossing the road, drivers aren't very careful or friendly, they drive pretty fast and pretty close to you.

- And like everywhere: you can cross the road when you have green light or when locals cross the road. Is it true that stupid tourist wait green light if locals don't and stupid tourist cross the road after locals?

- If possible taste local food: bakings (there was a lot bakeries), cevapi (like grilled meatballs) and fresh fish (especially they can make very delicious tuna).

- You should taste different ice creams! I think chocolate ice cream was worst I have ever eaten but blueberry, lemon, yoghurt and apple ice creams were very good. Don't be shy, ask little taste and if it's good then order a portion.
