Tuesday 30.9.2014 English essay "Climate change - real or myth"

"Sir,

I think people can't say that Climate change is a myth. It's a serious problem for humans and our life style. Everybody can see how much people use and exploit Earth and how many problems our actions give all the time. If you ask me we all, I really mean all, should care much more and take better care of our planet. There are a lot "green people", I mean people who know how to take care of the Earth. They don't use cars, they don't eat meat or fruits from far, they don't travel of they don't have to,... We all should live like they live and our world would feel better.

But how will we inflict this climate change? Firstly, we use more and more cars. The best alternatives are walking or biking ot at least taking a bus instead of using your own car and maybe alone for that matter. If youa really have to use car I prefer biofuels but any way all machines produce greenhouse gases. What's more, industry is very bad to our planet. Especially the USA, Russia and China have a problem but we all should think about it. Travelling by plane is bad and all kind of travelling isn't good for the Earth.

How can we see climate change? Like we all know both people and animals suffer from it. For instance, polarbears lose their homes and dangerous bees come to Finland but during this year we have had new problems all over the world. Here in Finland we had less snow than usual and this summer was extremely hot. On the other side of the world in Africa rainy season usually starts 15th of July but this year it came about three weeks late. So problems aren't only here but also in Africa and other continents. Problems often come from west and end up everywhere. But the situation isn't hopeless yet! A cause in point, before you buy think if it's clever to buy it? Use less meat and fruits and other products from other countries because transportation causes climate change and don't use for example hairspray. Little, good steps for the Earth, you can do it!

Lastly: Love your planet, you can't ever take another!"

Yep, that's true, I'm thinking pretty much like this.

Monday 29.9.2014 English essay "speech"

" I'm happy to be here with you my friends this afternoon and I would like to tell about Finland and one aspect of its culture, Finnish sports.

So hello friends and everybody. Today I'm going to tell you about my culture, about the Finnish cultural life, especially sports. The whole culture is very colorful and rich and the number of people involved in sport is growing all the time. So I want to welcome all of you among the athletic people.

But first, a little sneakers peek into culture. Finland is pretty well known for our thousands of lakes, forests and four seasons, winter with snow, fall with the color of fall, spring with lightness and summer with the warm sun. Technology, like Nokia and Angry Birds, and food, like dark rye bread and salty liquorice, make us famous as well.

But now let's get to sport. First of all ice hockey where we have won two world championships in 1995 and 2011. We also have our own league and many cities have our own ice hockey team. It's really our sport as well as track and field. Especially javelin because we have many good athletes for instance Tero Pitkämäki, Antti Ruuskanen and Ari Mannio. I think that many Finns are watching the competition between Finland and Sweden. Lastly Finnish baseball. This game was invited in Finland and just like in ice hockey all cities have their own baseball team as well. And like I told about ice hockey both track and field and baseball are really typical of Finnish sports.

Thank you all for listening and allthe best for the future of sport!"

I didn't like this subject at all, it was difficult to write this text and I think writing speech wasn't and won't be fluent to me. But no can do if I have to write speech on final test. Hope no!

Sunday 28.9.2014 Party Pori

Hi guys!

Like I told you last time, yesterday we had party because final test are over. I had really nice evening again, thanks all!

On Saturday 5pm I went to my friend's place to help her a bit. We talked a lot and I maked up, weared my dress, curled her hair and putted music systems. 8pm all of our friends had reached and we started. Talking, drinking, snacks, music and laughing. I laughed more than a long time, so much that my stomach hurted! After 10pm we left and went to Pori to bars. First we went to Cabaret and danced and party there. Then we went to Kino where we continued dancing, there we saw Leo-Pekka Tähti (he's an athlete and Paralympian from Finland competing mainly in category T54 sprint events. He won the gold medal in the 100m and 200m events at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece) and listened rap-artist Uniikki. About 4am it was time to go home (after we found one lost friend...) and sleep.

Super nice party again! Soon again guys!

Today I just relaxed at home, drove around the town and visited at the summer cottage. It was pretty beautiful sunset there!

No more final tests but tomorrow and Tuesday we still have test week so I will have two different English tests. Tomorrow "final test" and on Tuesday essay writing test. But I am not going to worry about those tests so much, final tests were much more important.

How was your weekend?

Saturday 27.9.2014 Final tests over!

Hi!

Final tests are finally over! On Wednesday I had math test and yesterday I had psychology. I think both could be ok or not. At least I hope I survived all, Swedish, math and psychology, because I really really don't want to do those test again. Next week we will start new period at school and it will be easier so I am going to focus on it now and later start to focus on English, Finnish and health education final tests.

Today I was running a bit!!! It/legs was ok but OMG how I can see it have been while I have runned last time... Have to do something!

After running I helped mum and dad with garden jobs. (P.S. I hate flowers, gardens,... And I won't have any extra plants at my own home!)

But now it's time to take dress, make-ups and other stuffs and go to my friends place. Tonight  I'm going to party with a group of my friends because we don't have more final tests. Awesome!

Have a nice weekend, tomorrow more pictures and stories. Bye bye!

Monday 22.9.2014 We can, we help! Today Zambia and Kenya!

Hi!

Today I have really important subject so please read and check link!

Like you all know Africa is really close to my heart. And like you remember I spent last new year in Africa, at the Gambia. I want to come back to the Gambia as soon as possible, hopefully this new year, cause I falled in love with whole continent and country. During our trip I saw a lot about lovely African culture, happy and friendly people but also poverty, sadness and hard life. And I want to help! For me, for young student without real work, money is not the best way to help so I wish one day I could go to Africa (to the Gambia I hope). But today I can't go but I want to help so this is the way to help every day.

Stanley Musonda, 19 years old, from Zambia, dropped out of school after his mother's death when he was 10 and he went to the street, now he is making music (picture is from Taksvärkki's page)

Every year Association of Finnish Upper Secondary School Students, Sakki (the occupation of studying) and FSS (Finnish who have Swedish as a mothertongue) have a campaign called Taksvärkki. This year (2014-2015) it's "Every idols". Student work one day and give their salary to Zambia and Kenya for poor street childrens and youngsters. I hope we all can help in this kind of campaigns because we have chance! Those young person don't have opportunity to live good life or go to school (think this seriously, I know you want to go to school and one day get your dream job, just now school is hard job to you but I am sure you appreciate your life and school if you check following link!). I'm sure that we all can give 15€ and on that way give a professional course for one young, so we'll help!

Grace Sakala, 17 years old, from Zambia, graduated from 12th class last year and now she study communications and technology, in the future she want to be a doctor and help children with disabilities (picture is from Taksvärkki's page)

I think this year Taksvärkki was and went but read this link and open your heart and mind for helping for ever, please and thanks!

Monday 22.9.2014 English essay "Senior high or vocational school"

"Senior high or vocational school

If you ask me senior high school is a much better place for students than vocational school. I'm a third grades at high school and I have friends at both schools so I really know what I'm talking about.

High school is always better to you and your future. Young students can't know what they are going to do for the rest of their lives. Firstly, high school gives three years time to think what you want to do and it gives you really good basic education whatever you will study. I'm sure that we all have enough time for working life after high school and university so we shouldn't hurry too much. I mean that it's not only a good thing that you can work earlier if you choose vocational school instead of high school. If you want to get a good job then university is the right place for you. You'll have much better opportunity to find your way to university if you first go to high school. Lastly I want to say that high school isn't ever a waste of time. You must learn to work hard at school because you need to do it at work as well. High school isn't impossible, you just have to study and believe in yourself.

If we want to see a good point in vocational schools it's a bit conflicting. I think the positive thing is that you have a profession and you are ready to work after three years.

Is it a good thing? You are 18 years old and you'll have many years time to work. Are you sure that you want to do the same job when you are 50 years old than what you chose when you were 15 years old. After senior high school you still have all the doors open tothe future."

I want you to remember that my essays at school aren't always just what I am thinking about because at school essays have to be 150-250 (max 313) words, good language (often it means better language than I have in my blog) and I can't choose what's the subject (we have a few subjects where we have to choose) or style (for example argumentative text or speech). Of course I always have my own style in my essays and often there is lot of my own opinions about those subjects I'm writing about. Sharing my essays here is more like studying them again after teacher has checked them and for sure that's also one way to show what kind texts I can and you can write at school so this is learning and teaching between students. No copying please!

Friday 19.9.2014 Eat chocolate and give middle finger to Swedish

Hi!

Today I had Swedish final test and now (I hope) I can say "Good bye!" to this language. I haven't check right answers at all because I don't want to feel sad or angry because I have to focus on math (on Wednesday (24.9.) and psychology (on Friday 26.9.) final tests. So now I will just wait what our teacher think about it, how my Swedish test was.

That's absolutely how I felt during Swedish studies

And if have to listen that kind of "Jejjjj I'm always super happy" s*** all the time it's not easier at all

But at least autumn evenings are pretty beatiful

And with this it's okay to say "Bye bye!" to Swedish and continue to new challenges

I have a few post ideas that I will share with you as soon as possible. For example about dreams, nails, English essays, future, etc.

See you soon again!

P.S. If you want to listen some songs in Swedish... (I don't want do it at all anymore, I really prefer in English or in Finnish!)

Wednesday 10.9.2014 Final exam started... + good news about Ebola

Hi!

Yesterday I started my final exams and I had Swedish listening test. I have no idea how it was... Good, okay, bad, I don't know! And I think so that I don't want to know...

Yep!!

Like I have told, and I think so you have read as well, there is Ebolan in western Africa. The Gambia should be safe because it's in Senegal and Senegal closed its borders few months ago. But any way I'm happy always to see this kind of positive (or should I say negative?) info.

Sunday 7.9.2014 One more 18 party

Hello!

It's 3am, just reach home after my friend's birthday party. Thanks everybody, I had a nice evening again!

Today (Saturday) we had a school day so it meant I had two Swedish listening lessons. Cool... But any way it was really good training before final test's listening part. Test will be on Tuesday 9.9.

Like I said we had a pretty nice evening. Here is my party outfit.

Dress-H&M, bracelets-from the Gambia, shoes-mum's, belt-H&M (and high heels-Mekka)

Now, I really wanna sleep so good night and sleep tight!

Today we had third graders photoshoot and our subject was pyjama party!
