Hi!
Do you know what day it is?
Didn't know before read the headline?
Yep, it's Pink ribbon day, that means breast cancer organization's day. For girls at my age it's not typical, but maybe you know somebody who have it. Grandmother, aunt or even mother. We aren't expecting to get it now but we can already do something what can save us.
1. Do sport.
About one hour per day is good. It reduces the risk 1/5 because it helps hormone balance, takes care of normal weight, makes digestion faster, helps the immune system and lowers blood sugar levels.
2. Check with your heredity.
3. Eat healthy. We need flavonoids, vitamins, minerals, fiber and fatty acids. Especially onion, broccoli, blueberry, lingonberry, buckthorn and fish are good.
4. No smoking
5. Check your breasts once a month
6. Permanent normal weight.
7. Don't stress. Stress makes your immune degence weaker.
8. No alcohol. Just one drink can increase the risk of disease because it change hormone system.
9. Sleep enought. If you don't sleep enought it might interferes with the secretation of melatonin and facilitates weight gain, both increase the risk of cancer.
(tips are from HyväTerveys (=GoodHealth) magazine)
Those things can make you healthy any way so we all should follow rules!
I have sad experiences about living with breast cancer in the surrounding area so I think we really should take those things seriously.
Take care of yourself!
